FiberTherm special dry 140 is a wood fiber panel for thermal and acoustic insulation on the outside of flat or pitched roofs, resistant to wind and humidity. Ideal for roof insulation in wooden buildings, but also in redevelopment and new traditional buildings.

Wood fiber panel FiberTherm special dry: the new generation of insulating materials for exterior roof renovations. Much thermal energy is lost thanks to the large roof area. As a result, potential savings in restructuring are also lost. But what if the attic is already developed and inhabited? BetonWood offers FiberTherm special dry building solution, a rigid wood-fiber insulating panel that can be placed directly from the outside on the beams.
Ideally, the area must first be isolated between beams, for example with FiberTherm flex, the insulating system in flexible wood fiber panels. Often, only the old construction beams are too small to make modern insulation systems. With wood fiber FiberTherm special dry is possible to provide the additional insulation required above the beams.
The living space under the roof is not compromised.

FiberTherm special dry is an insulating panel in wood fiber for new roofs or in repair, for renovations of buildings of all kinds. The panels are made of natural wood fibers and are produced without dubious additives through a dry process. The link between fibers occurs not for added adhesives, but only thanks to its own lignin.

The insulating wood fiber panel's profile of FiberTherm special dry guarantees wind resistance, suitability and drainage of water, without further joints for roofs with at least 16° inclinations. It reduces the thermal bridges of the building, protects from hail, protects from summer heat and guarantees excellent sound insulation. The thickness of the insulating material decreases. It has a density equal to 140 kg/m³.

The material is also recyclable, it is certified and made exclusively with wood from controlled forests in compliance with the FSC® guidelines (Forest Stewardship Declaration).


The insulating wood fiber panel FiberTherm special dry 140 is an excellent thermal and acoustic insulation for new roof and renovations. This type of wood fiber has the following characteristics:

• Very good thermal conductivity: FiberTherm special dry provides an excellent insulating value. The value of thermal conductivity λ is equal to 0,040 [W/(m·K)].
So, with FiberTherm Special dry 140 is possible to obtain an excellent thermal insulation applied also on particularly thin roof structures.
